When SpeedyDesk starts, the application icon will be placed in the taskbar area.

If you left click on the icon, desktop and program shortcuts menu will be displayed.

Programs Shortcuts

In order to add a new program or file shortcut or delete existing one, choose "Programs" page in SpeedyDesk Preferences screen. The defined shortcuts will be listed.

Desktop Image Manager

Desktop Image Manager holds the list of images in categories, chooses one of images randomly or sequentially, and then sets this image as desktop background.

The desktop images will be selected from the active category list. Only the checked images will be recognized.

Image Categories

Before adding images, you should create a category. On the background page, right click on the category list and choose "New Category" option. After you type the name of new category and select an icon for the category, your new category will be ready for adding new images.

Activation : Actives or deactivates Desktop Image Change Manager. 

Change Frequecy : Determines the image change time interval. Default value is Hourly.
To change this default time interval, click on "Set Schedule" button and set new time interval.

Random : Images will be selected from the active category list randomly.
Sequential : Images will be selected from the active category list sequentially.

Active Group : Determines the active category which desktop images will be selected from.

Screen Properties : The image will be resized to desktop screen size if you check "Resize images to fit to screen" option. Desktop position can be "Stretch, Tile or Center".

Post-it Notes

Notes are small post-its which stays on-top on your desktop. Each note can have different colour and font style.

Adding a Note

Adding new notes is very easy. When you click on right button over SpeedDesk icon on on taskbar, menu will be shown. When you select "Add note" from the menu, a new post-it note will be created and shown.

Changing Note Font and Color

In order to change the font style or the background color of a note, click on the left-top note icon. From the menu, choose "Change Color" in order to change the color of current note. Choose "Change Font" in order to change the font of current note.

Advanced Note Properties

When you open the "Preferences" screen and choose the "Notes" page, the advenced properties of post-it screen notes can be set up.

Advanced Properties

Advanced properties settings manages program startup options and system level shortcuts. When you select "Advanced" page while you are in Preferences screen, Advanced Properties screen will be shown.

Program Startup : Check "Start SpeedyDesk when windows start" option, if you want start SpeedyDesk automatically.

When you check "Automatically refresh Desktop shortcuts" option, SpeedyDesk will refresh desktop items each time you press left click on SpeedyDesk icon.

System Shortcuts : Check or uncheck system shortcuts in order to be shown on menu when you left click on SpeedyDesk icon on taskbar.
