Tasks
SpeedyDesk can manage your simple tasks into several categories and can show
task alerts on specifed time.
You can group your tasks into categories, set their alarm times and edit
existing ones.

Task Management
When you right click to the SpeedyDesk icon on taskbar and
choose "Launch Tasklist" option from the menu, the Task Manager screen will
be shown.
Using Task Manager screen, you can add task categories, edit existing task
categories, add new tasks to selected categories and edit existing ones.

Managing
Task Categories
To add a task category, just right click on Categories list. Choose "New
Category" option from the menu. When category add dialog box comes, type the
name of category, choose an icon and press "OK" button. The new category will be
added to list.

In order to edit existing categories, select the category from list and then
right click on. Choose "Edit Category" option from the menu. If you choose
"Delete" option, the category and the tasks that listed in this category will be
deleted.
Alternatively, if you double click on a category in the list, the category
editing dialog box will be opened.
Adding a Task
When you press

button, the
new task dialog box will be shown. A task consist of two properties, Task
Properties and Alarm Properties. Task properties are related with task itself,
task priority, task category, and whether the task is completed or not. Alarm
properties are related with the task alarm date and time, task alarm
recurrences.

Priority : Show the proiority of the task. It can be
Low, Normal or
High.
Category : Shows the category of the task.
Set Completed : Sets whether the task is
completed of not. If a task is completed, the task will not fire an alert.

Do not set Alarm : No alert is specified to the task. If you choose this
option, the task will be shown as task alert.
Set Alarm : Set the alarm. Recurrence
options can be
Once, Every Week, Every Month, Every Year.Task Settings
When you open the "Preferences" screen, choose "Tasks" page in order to
configure task settings.

Activation : Activates or deactivates
task alert. If you uncheck this option,
task alerts will not be shown.
Task Alert : The
apperances of the task alerts can be changed by using this part.
Play Sound on task alert :
If you check this option, a notification sound will be played on task alerts.

SpeedyDesk can show favorite quotes on your desktop. When quote shown on
screen, it stays a few seconds on desktop, and then it automatically closes.
You can add new quotes to exitsing ones, edit them, change their skins, manage
their screen positions, determine the on-top stay duration times while
showing, and arrange their show time intervals.
Adding a Quote
Adding a quote is easy. Right click to the SpeedyDesk icon on taskbar and
choose "Add a Quote" option from the menu.

After you write the quote and the author, press "OK" button. New quote will be added
to currently active quote file.
Managing Quotes
When you right click on SpeedyDesk icon on taskbar and choose "Quote Settings..." from the menu, quote management screen will be shown.

Activation : Activates or deactivates quote show. If you uncheck this option,
quotes will not be shown.
Quote File : Quotes are read from a quote file.
SpeedyDesk searchs quotes file within the application installation folder with
the name "Quotes".
Schedule Information : Determines the quote show time interval. In order to set new
time, press "Set Schedule" button. From the Set Schedule screen,
choose your time.

Duration : Determines the show-time seconds when a quote shown.
Quote Apperance
In order to set appearance, font and skin properties of quotes, choose "Appearance"
on Quote Settings dialog.

Managing Quote Lists
You can create your own quote list also.
When you click on "Launch Quote Editor" from the right-click menu of SpeedyDesk,
Quote Editor application will be opened.
In order to edit a file you should first open the quote file. After you opened
it, quotes will be listed.

Vocabulary Helper
SpeedyDesk can show vocabularies on your desktop so that help you to learn new
foreign words. When a word couple shown on
screen, it stays a few seconds on desktop, and then it automatically closes.
You can add new words to existing dictionaries, edit them, change their
background colors, manage
their screen positions, determine the on-top stay durations on desktop while
showing, and arrange their show time intervals.
Adding Cross-Words
Adding words is easy. Right click to the SpeedDesk icon on taskbar and
choose "Add a Word" option from the menu.

After you write the word and meaning in other language, press "OK" button. New
word will be added
to the currently active dictionary.
Managing Vocabulary
Settings
When you right click on SpeedyDesk icon on taskbar and choose "Vocabulary Settings..." from the menu,
Vocabulary management screen will be shown.

Activation : Activates or deactivates
vocabulary helper. If you uncheck this option,
words will not be shown.
Active Dictionary :
Words will be selected from active dictionary file.
SpeedDesk searchs the dictionary files within the application installation folder with
the name "Wordlists".
Schedule Information : Determines the show time interval
of the word. In order to set new
time, press "Set Schedule" button. From the Set Schedule screen,
choose your time.
Duration : Determines the show-time seconds
when cross-word shown.
Appearance
In order to set appearance, font and skin properties of word couple, choose "Appearance"
on Vocabulary Settings dialog.

Screen Properties : Determines the screen
region that word couple box will be shown. If you check "Remember Last Position" box,
cross-word box will be shown at where you moved the last one.
In order to change default backgrounds of word couple box, click on boxes W1 and
W2.
Managing Dictionaries
You can create your own dictionaries.
When you click on "Launch Wordlist Editor" from the right-click menu of SpeedDesk,
the Wordlist Editor application will be opened.
In order to edit a file you should first open the dictionary file. After you opened
it, the words will be listed.

SpeedyDesk searchs for the dictionary files within the folder named as "
Wordlists" in the installation folder.
When you tried to add a word, SpeedyDesk first tries to locate active wordlist
file. If no active wordlist file exists, then new vocabulary will be created.
